Do you know that you can appeal to a traffic offence?
Yes, sometimes you might just be tight on cash to pay the fines. Or hope that the fine be mitigated as you were really unintentional. You can try to appeal for a lighter sentence. You can submit your appeals to the following:
This is mainly for the traffic violations especially for offence like speeding, illegal U turn etc.
WHAT TO INCLUDE
Do not expect to totally eradicate your offence especially if you really committed the offence. If your idea is just to mitigate, to ask for a lighter sentence, you must show remorse and not total ignorance or even refute the fact that you committed the offence. For example, if you were speeding because you were rushing to the airport as you are late, do not expect that your charges can be totally taken away especially if you really did sped.
An offence is still an offence. You can ask for a lighter sentence but ultimately it is up to the TP to decide whether to give you a lighter one. You might end up back to square one. So do not have very high hopes.
When you submit the letter, please remember to quote your reference number and vehicle car plate number.
