Class 3A Driving Test -First Attempt

And so on the 22 May, I attempted my first Auto car driving test.  With only a few trainings with the private instructor, I really wonder how am I going to pass this test.  But just give it a shot, it might not be that bad.

The test this time is at the Singapore Safety Driving Centre ( SSDC).  My private instructor actually placed a training session before the test.  The 1 and half hour of practice really did help a bit for the preparation of the test.  But to speak the truth, I feel that some of these private instructors are there just to earn the money.  They do not really care about whether you pass or not, they do not even care if the high number of fail rates will affect their reputation.

In fact, during my lessons with him, the instructor seems to have unlimited amount of inquiry calls to check on his classes.  I guess his trick was that he was one of the few rare ones actually putting his information up on the internet.  But to speak the truth, his test fees are really high and also after calculating, if you are not going to pass at one go, it is actually not very worth to take his lessons.

BAD INVESTMENT

I felt that his teachings compared to back in the days where I was at BBDC, it is really very low in quality, he does not tell you what to look out for when you are in the circuit, only to tell you some very ambiguous instructions.  Also he does not have a checklist of what not and what to do.  To me this is really unprofessional.  Unfortunately, I have already signed for on test with him.  I guess I made the wrong judgement because BBDC ( Bukit Batok Driving Centre) to me , is a more structured learning process and the instructors are patient with a lot of skills.  Teaching you the main points to look out for.

THE TEST

In any case, I went for the test but it was as expected not good.  Was a bit sad, thinking of why I need to go through the whole thing when I had already been there done that! And now there is nothing to regret but to think of a way out.  I decided to go for another time with this instructor, after which if I were to fail again.  I will look for a better private instructor OR maybe to go to a driving centre again.

BIGGEST MISTAKE

I guess the most important thing that caused the failure was that I was very anxious and had no confident because of the lack of training and proper instructions.  It is important to feel smooth and confident.  I hit the kerb twice this time and therefore not allowed to leave the circuit to the roads.  It is really not worth it.

Anyway another try, we shall see.
