Taking the basic theory test can be quite a chore for many, though it is Multiple choice question, the choice itself and the high passing mark can devastate many. The fact that the answers can be quite close is also a reason that many people fail. I face the same problem when I started this, those days where it was done on the paper on the optical assessment sheet has changed to screen touches which sometimes, the more I view at the computer, the more I get dizzy!
Taking the theory test with a driving school involves loads of practice and spotting the main questions. Always realise the tricky ones and remember the answer. Some of the answers does not really make sense or you might not even understand, but just get it into your head.
To me some of the more prominent questions that I remember are those for the right of way questions ( especially for round about) highway signs are also quite tricky.
Basically to prepare for my Basic theory test or BTT, I have been reading up the Mighty Minds ” The New High Way Code ” Book and also practising their so called 10 years series question book. It really helps and before the evaluation test and actual test. Book the practice at least 2 times to get refreshed of the questions. Try to practice one set that you totally treat like the real test itself.
The questions are pretty standard and if you practice all the practice books and remember those that you failed on. It should not be a problem to pass the exact test.

Can simulate the test questions for you, although this site might not be that close to the books. It at least gets you into the grinding mode.
